Context

I co-founded my school’s first AI club, bringing together students interested in artificial intelligence and computer science.

My Contribution

1. Organizing the club and building a community hub

I helped organize the club and build it into the school’s largest hub for AI and CS information exchange. Our group connects students with one another and with teachers, bringing questions and opportunities into a shared space.

  • Teachers share competition opportunities and recruit students for projects or other activities that need their help.
  • Students ask questions and exchange information about AI and CS.
  • The club brings together learning resources, opportunities, and people who can help.

2. Introducing AI through classes and workshops

As the club’s first student instructor, I worked with teachers and fellow students to offer introductory AI classes and workshops for students at our school. These sessions aim to make unfamiliar ideas approachable and give beginners a place to start exploring.

Topics include:

  • What large language models are.
  • How AI agents work and how to use them.
  • Informal discussions that introduce students to the wider world of AI.
